Pia Wilson

Seven 10 minute plays around the theme of pre-existing conditions.

Six short plays on the theme "about hope".

Pia Wilson is a Brooklyn-based writer born in Newark, NJ. She is a devout believer in strong characterization, without which any play falls apart. Her work has been produced at the Red Room Theater, NYC, and performed at the Classical Theater of Harlem's Future Classics Reading Series, NYC (2012, 2010), Packawallop: The Lounge Series, NYC (2011), and the Public Theater’s Emerging Writers Spotlight Series, NYC (2009).

Wilson is an Actors Theatre of Louisville Heideman Award Finalist (2011), Bay Area Playwrights Festival Semi-Finalist (2011), and was awarded a Playwriting Fellowship by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (2009). She was the Assistant Administrator for Classical Theatre of Harlem’s Playwright’s Playground, NYC, and was a member of the Passage Theater Company’s Play Lab (2012), Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Workspace program, and the Public Theater’s Emerging Writers Group (2008).
