Mike Lesser, born and raised in the “boogie down” Bronx. He wrote, starred, and directed his first play, Death on the Princess Oceanic to rave reviews. After that groundbreaking work, he went on to the fourth grade. Recently, his play, Nice and Other Hateful Words!, was read in Silent Street Productions reading series, in New York City. Mike’s Short Plays, The Last Medal of Black Patti, More Than Just Tuesdays, The Delivery, True Clown Stories, and Excerpts from Monologues in the Key of Krazy, were presented at Theater for the New City’s Lower Eastside Festival. He has studied with Rogelio Martinez, Francine Volpe, and Winter Miller at the Einhorn School of Performing Arts at Primary Stages. There he had two short plays, and one monologue performed for their Detention Series of New Works. He received his BFA in Theatre Studies from Boston University College of the Arts, where he was a founding member of “The Playground Festival O’ Playwrights”. He is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
