Eric Pfeffinger’s plays include Accidental Rapture, Barrenness, Some Other Kind of Person, Lost and Foundling, and Tiny Baby. He’s a member of the Dramatists Guild and his plays have been produced by Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Geva Theatre Center, the Phoenix Theatre, the Source Festival, the Noble Fool, Childsplay, Vital Theatre Company, City Theatre of Miami, Vox Humana, and elsewhere. His plays have been published by Dramatic Publishing, Howlround.com, and Dramatics Magazine and he's written new plays on commissions from the InterAct, the Signature Theatre, Imagination Stage, and the Bloomington Playwrights Project. He's developed new work through workshops and readings at PlayPenn, Page 73, the Geva, Red Bull, Deep Dish, Chicago Dramatists, the Rattlestick, the Abingdon, available light, the Disreputables, and Theatre of NOTE. He's been a finalist for the Clubbed Thumb Biennial Commission, the New Harmony Project, and the Page 73 Fellowship, and a semifinalist for the O'Neill, the Princess Grace Fellowship and New Dramatists. He was the first prize winner of the Midwestern Playwrights Festival and has received funding from the Indiana Arts Commission and the Ohio Arts Council. He's written articles for American Theatre magazine and is co-author of the novel The High-Impact Infidelity Diet, published by Crown and available on finer remainder tables everywhere.
