David has written, directed and produced his plays: The On Being Series and Sid Berkeley Radio Slave, at Here in NYC; The Keeper, a full-length radio play performed live at the Joseph Papp Public Theatre and broadcast over WBAI in NYC; and The Boy Who Lost His Sock, a full-length children's play adapted from a story by Patrick Gallagher and produced by The Youth Theatre of NJ in Sparta, NJ & The Kitchen Theatre in Ithaca, NY. Other plays include; In Five Boroughs, produced by Expanded Arts in NYC; When Words Fail produced as a part of The NYC International Fringe Festival in 1998 and later at the John Houseman Studio Theatre in 1999. The play now appears in the anthology, Plays and Playwrights For The New Millennium published by The New York Theatre Experience, edited by Martin Denton. His own radio-styled adaptation of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has been produced by Wells College, Offworld Theatre Co., Icarus Theatre Ensemble and broadcast over the airwaves of WCPE Radio, Union County College. David has written many one-act plays and collections including: The Catcher In Bed-Stuy, produced by Howling Moon Cab Theatre Co., NYC; Jack and Jill in Christmastown at the Short Play Lab, NYC and Endtimes Productions, NYC. His plays The Blessing, Rain and Bicycle Boy were all produced as a part of the Rutgers U. Play Festival, New Brunswick, NJ 2008, 09, 10. He recently produced his new play, The Medicine Show (A Play With Music) at the 2007 FringeNYC Festival. His play, Gargoyles was selected as a semi-finalist in the 2009 New Play Festival at Centre Stage in South Carolina. His short play, Between You and Me was named as a finalist in Curan Rep’s 2011 Notes From The Underground Festival in NYC. David has had numerous workshops and readings of his one-acts and full-length plays and has recently completed a book of short plays for use in the study of acting.
