Adam R. Burnett
The play addresses the 2008 stock market crash, the Obama presidency, the long-last legacy of the Roosevelt administration on politics, Buckminster Fuller's utopia, the potential future for the apolitical citizen in American society, and a call to action.
This play situates itself between terror and comedy (the sublime), beneath the gaze of Henry Fuseli's iconic painting, and in the midst of an enveloping soundscape to plumb the extremities of our contemporary condition and posit the question: are we still capable of being overwhelmed?
