Rob Reese Rob Reese was born in Nashville, Tennessee, sometime after “one giant leap for mankind” and sometime before the death of disco.
With a degree in communications/theatre arts from Boston College, Reese continued his education in Chicago at the sundry training centers of The Second City, The Improv Olympic, and The Annoyance. After working with numerous improv and sketch companies as a performer and director, he moved to New York and founded Amnesia Wars Productions in 1997. Reese has continued his education by working in various capacities for such companies as the New York Shakespeare Festival / Public Theater, The Wooster Group, and Pilobolus Dance.
Survivor: Vietnam was first published in the NYTE anthology Plays and Playwrights 2004 and his adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein was first published in the NYTE anthology Playing With Canons: Explosive New Works from Great Literature by America's Indie Playwrights.
Other playwrighting credits include: Keanu Reeves Saves the Universe (the sci-fi parody adventure EVER!), Reese’s Pieces (a collection of short plays), the radio serial Tad Granite, Private Eyeball, and contributions to the libretto of Kamala Sankaram’s opera Miranda.
Upcoming projects include a heavy-metal rock-opera, and the vaudeville style musical revue Yahweh’s Follies: a hysterical history about your favorite god.
