From the Author:
I wrote The Moon in the Man based on romantic escapades I was having in the world of gay dating, and once I became involved with someone, how I had to start to define new boundaries between myself and a good friend of mine. It was hard to know when love blended into affection, blended into lust, blended into…well, it all got very confusing. To top it off, my dear mother, who I adored, and was completely over involved with, was always drinking wildly, and having to be talked off the ledge so she wouldn’t “end it all.” That was a speed bump for a lot of dates. Then I met Michael, fell in love with him immediately, and he is still the love of my life.
Today, in the world of the cybersearch for love, both the possibilities for courage and deception abound. However, how ever you meet someone, once you’ve met, you’ve met, and, if it’s love at first sight, well, then, it’s love at first sight. Faithful to the genre, the play, of course, has a happy ending. However, my love life has had a happy ending. This is a gay, romantic comedy, about the beginning of just that.
