Home of the Great Pecan started as a stand-alone one-act entitled Brain Sucking (the first scene of the play) and was produced at Actors Theatre of Louisville in late 1994 and subsequently published in Dramatics Magazine, a publication for theatre educators.   Scenes and monologues from Home of the Great Pecan will be published in 2012 by Smith and Kraus in The Best Women’s Stage Monologues and Scenes 2012 and The Best Men’s Stage Monologues and Scenes 2012.
